Thanks for the video! EI laminated transformers are generally crudely made! Well made transformers cores should have: 1 Cold rolled grain oriented laminations. 2. The cutting blades or dies used should be sharp and of good quality. 3. The laminations should be de-burred, so that they can be stacked without gaps. Some good smart manufacturers buy the best laminations in scrap form and get them nicely cut. Thus even high quality EI transformers can be made! Many cheap power supplies made for electronic musical instruments use transformers which cannot deliver adequate power, specially for polyphonic instruments. Only original power supplies should be used, or the instrument could be damaged!
